Muslides & More News from Mike

If you heard rumors about people getting stranded on the Angeles Crest Highway, they weren’t rumors:

Also, as of 7pm the County has announced that they will reopen Big Tujunga Cyn Rd on Monday, December 13, from the LA City Line to Angeles Forest Hwy.

More as it becomes available.

We did a preliminary recon of the cabin tracts and forest service facilities. There does not seem to be any serious damages. The road in Trail Canyon did get washed out but I don’t know exactly where. The best I can tell from getting it second hand is that the slide was above the cabins around the parking lot, so I am thinking past Mike’s place. Apparently the culvert we put in held. Again, this is second hand, but the road in was fine. At 9 am tomorrow we will be meeting to discuss lifting the Forest Storm Plan. Hwy 2 is still down to one lane due to the slides and closed. County roads are in good shape though there was an issue between the first bridge and camp 15. Keep checking the county road website to see when they will lift their closure.
